A study showed that the daily consumption of two oat bran biscuits results in a notable improvement in bowel movement consistency in elders. Other research discovered evidence that simply increasing the consumption of oat bran by 8 grams per day drastically reduces the need or laxatives. If you’re not a fan of eating straight oat bran, it’s great in cakes and muffins.
